From folder to written grid in five steps
No account, no cloud — analysis runs on your own machine.
Download and install
Run the installer for your platform.
Use the .msi or .exe installer. The Windows build isn't code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may warn on first run — choose More info → Run anyway.
Open the universal .dmg and drag Beatdis to Applications. The app is signed and notarized, so it opens without a Gatekeeper warning.
Add your music
Click Open folder… to load a whole crate, or Open files… for individual tracks. Use the filter box and sort menu (name / BPM / key) to find things in a big library.
Tracks that already have a Serato grid open straight away as an editable grid — no re-analysis needed.
Analyse
Select a track and press Analyze selected, or Analyze all for the whole list. Tick re-analyze gridded to redo tracks that already have a grid, and raise at once to process several tracks in parallel.
Beatdis detects beats, key and cues. A full-length track takes around twenty seconds on a modern desktop.
Check and adjust
- Press Space to play and turn on 🔊 Click to hear the grid against the music.
- Wrong octave? ÷2 / ×2. Bar 1 on the wrong beat? phase −1 / +1.
- Drag a marker handle to fix a spot; Alt-drag to slip everything after it.
- Check any red ⚠ bridged bands by ear.
Save to Serato or Rekordbox
- Save to Serato writes the grid, key and cues into the file's tags. It asks before overwriting.
- Save to Rekordbox writes into your Rekordbox 7 library. The track must already be added and analysed in Rekordbox, and Rekordbox must be closed.
| Target | Formats | What's written |

| Rekordbox XML | CLI export (merges into an existing export) | Per-marker tempo list |
Prefer the command line?
The CLI shares the same engine as the app.
